What sizes are available?
There are five size and pricing options available for standard shaped prints and two options for panoramic images. You can view the options by clicking the Buy this print: Sizes & Prices link under any photograph. To ensure the image you purchase is the ideal size, it may be helpful to measure the wall where you plan to hang the photograph. Please remember that you'll need additional space for your mounting and frame.
Is it possible to purchase non-standard sizes and framed photographs?
Due to shipping constraints we are unable to offer framed photographs or prints larger than 20 x 24 inches (50x60 cm) online. However, if you would like to purchase a custom-sized image or if you live in the greater Dublin area and you would like to purchase a framed image please contact Philip directly to discuss the options.
What do you mean by “mounted photograph” and “non-mounted photograph”?
Mountboard (or Matboard as it is also known) is traditionally a thick paper product used to enhance the visual impact of a framed image by surrounding the image with an additional border. Mountboard is a stiff but not particularly durable material so it is only available on one of the smaller size options (12x16 inch mounted photograph) as there is less risk of the board being bent or damaged in transit than with the larger pieces. Larger images are shipped as loose prints in protective shipping tubes. Providing these print-only options enables us to offer larger images at a lower price while giving you complete control over your mounting and framing choices. Print-only purchases are accompanied with a Certificate of Authenticity signed and dated by the artist.
How should I frame my photograph?
Traditionally black and white images are framed with a white or off-white mountboard and a simple black frame which is a great, classic look. However, this is truly a matter of personal preference and there are a multitude of attractive options available. Consult with your framer and choose a frame which you love and which compliments your décor.
